Notes for Daniel Cook
Member of the Prince of Wales American Regiment of the British Army during the American War of Independence. Moved to Canada as a Loyalist after the War, with a group of other soldiers.

Settled in County Sunbury, then part of Nova Scotia but shortly thereafter part of the land separated into New Brunswick. He and his fellow soldiers were granted land on the north side of the St. John River, up river of St. John itself, as well as some land on an island in the river.

Moved to Ontario with wife Elizabeth sometime between 1800 and 1802.
