In his will, Jane’s father James left $200.00 to each of his daughters and identified Jane Price as his eldest daughter. She was not listed with her parents at the time of the 1852 Census. However, in the 1891 Census for Bolton Village, Albion Township, Peel County, Ellen Price, age 65, married, was living with her widowed sister Margaret Johnston. Her birthplace was given as Ireland. It seems likely that James’ eldest daughter was named Jane Ellen or Ellen Jane.
