Jacob was left 200 acres of land in his father’s will:

“I give and bequeath to my son Jacob Lougheed [sic] when attains the full age of twenty one years the west half of Lot twenty eight in the fifth concession and the east half of Lot twenty eight in the sixth concession of the township of Euphrasia and the county of Grey aforesaid...subject however to the following restrictions viz that he shall have no power to sell the same land above mentioned until he attains the full age of forty years...”

Jacob also inherited 50 acres and the sum of three hundred dollars from his mother. According to the 1871 and 1881 Census for Euphrasia Township, Jacob lived with James and Frances Yelland, who appears to be living on Jacob’s land.

In 1915, Jacon abd Eliza sold their farm and moved to the suburbs of Pensacola, Florida, United States of America, when they purchased 160 acres.

No children of their own, but their raised Warren Lougheed, son of Daniel and Eliza (Knott) Lougheed.
