Notes for Ann Henry
Ann’s obituary from the 7 May 1873 Christian Guardian:

“An McDougall (maiden name Henry) died at residence of son-in-law Wm. Muncie, Nobleton, 12 Feb 1873. Born Co. Sligo, Ireland, came to Canada 1832, her first husband, Wm Lougheed having died before that.

Her second husband was John MacDougall, one of the first settlers of twp. Albion, and who died about a year before her. Her house both in country and this was a home for the ministers. Early preachers of Albion where welcomed by Bro. and Sister McDougall, at McDougall’s Corners (now Macville) Albion.”

Apart from Ann’s maiden name of Henry, Robert Lougheed is said to have helped his brother-in-law McDougall at the time of the 1837-1838 Rebellion, two reasons for linking Ann with Robert and Jane (Henry) Lougheed.
