The airplane James was piloting crashed into Steamboat Mountain in the Columbia Valley. His body was very badly burnt, and at least portions of is remains were left on the mountain.878
It’s unclear whether there were passengers on the plane when it went down, however, there are no other BC death registrations for the same day in the Columbia Valley, so it appears likely that James was the only one on the plane.
