Military notes for Elmer David Lougheed
Drafted into the Canadian Expeditionary Force under the Military Service Act at Vancouver, British Columbia on 8 March 1918. Assigned regimental number 2022027 and to the 46th Battalion in Europe. Received a gunshot wound to the right buttock at Cambrai, France on 9 October 1918 and was transferred to the 83rd (Dublin) General Hospital at Boulogne. He was invalided to Canada on 13 January 1919 and was admitted to Shaugnessy Hospital in Vancouver 1 February 1920 for further treatment. He was discharged from Shaugnessy on 13 March 1919 and discharged from the Expeditionary Force the same day as medically unfit for further service.469
