Notes for Robert & Elizabeth (Family)
Married by the Reverend David Coates, minister of the United Presbyterian Church. Witnesses were William Lougheed and John Seabrook.
Robert and Eliza first farmed in Albion Township, Peel county where they are recorded in both the 1852 and 1861 Census. The family moved from the Boltn area in the 1860s first to Cape Rich, near Meaford, where they lived for a short time on Water Street. From there they went to St. Vincent Township in Grey County. (The 1865 W.W. Smith Gazetter shows them on Lot 30, Concession 6.) They finally moved to Euphrasia Township, Grey County.
