Notes for John Lougheed
There is conflicting information about John. His obituary appeared in The Conservator of 16 April 1925:
“The funeral took place in Christ Church Cemetery, Bolton, of John Lougheed, the aged resident of Albion, who broke his leg while walking through a bush three weeks ago, and lay for several hours exposed to the elements. Deceased who was 76 years of age, was born in Chinguacousy, removed to Albion a few years ago, and resided on the 9th line with his brother James. He was unmarried and is survived by his brother and one sister, Mrs. W. Rolley [Rachel], Tottenham. Mr. Lougheed, was an Anglican in religion and a Conservative in politics.”
A list of all the children of John and Elizabethh (Burns) Lougheed in the Perkins Bull papers gives the following information about their son John:
“ Ang. Cem. Bolton. Married Eliza Coulter. 1 son & 1 dau. burried in Bolton. 2nd wife - Married a Miss Dixon of Toronto. She died & is buried near Weston.”
