After her husband’s death, Jenny continued to live on the farm until her death following a most unfortunate accident which is described in her obituary in the Age-Dispatch, Strathroy of 20 April, 1994:

“Terribly burned when she accidentally stumbled and fell into a bonfire at her home...late on Friday afternoon, Mrs. Jane B. Parker died early on Saturday morning in Victoria Hospital, in London. She had been raking up the grass and leaves and was alone at the time. Her little granddaughter heard her scremas and by the time the child got her mother who was in the barn, Mrs. Parker’s clothing was a mass of flames.... She was so badly burned that no hope was held from the first.”

Jenny and Isaac farmed on Lot 15, Concession 4, SER, Adelaide Township.
